AlleleID®, which helps design microarrays and real time PCR diagnostic assays for pathogen detection or bacterial identification now helps users of PamGene's PamChip® Arrays in designing their own probes.

PREMIER Biosoft International today announced the world wide release of AlleleID® version 6. AlleleID®, which is the only tool that designs diagnostic assays for both real time PCR and microarrays now supports custom probe design for PamChip® assays. This will enable PamChip® users in designing their own probes to detect genes of interest using PamGene's high precision detection platform.
PamGene's PamChip® Microarrays are based on Multiplex Ligation-dependent Probe Amplification (MLPA®), a technique developed at MRC-Holland for copy number detection and mutation studies. The PamChip® Microarray users can study about 400 different markers using a single spot. PamGene’s 3D flow-through microarray technology offers new approaches to drug discovery, clinical diagnostics and basic research.
